Screen recordings turn grey when I crop them on iPhone 11

Whenever I crop a screen recording on my iPhone 11, the video turns completely grey. Regular videos and trimming the length work fine. If I try to send the cropped clip to someone, it won’t send and looks like a grey screenshot. I’ve tried restarting and freeing space, but it still happens. I haven’t found any solution on the internet. How do I fix it?
