Pata hai aaj kya hua… saw two married colleagues on what looked like a secret date. Should I tell the husband?

Pata hai aaj kya hua, So I work in a PSU in Bilaspur, CG and live in a nearby rented apartment. There’s this recently married girl from my office — let’s call her Ritika. Coincidentally she lives in the same apartment complex and even goes to the same gym.

Now there’s another guy from my office — let’s call her Varun — from the finance department. He’s married and lives with his wife in the officer residential quarters.

Here’s where it gets messy.

Ritika’s husband works in IT in Bangalore. Pretty chill guy actually. When he was doing WFH from here we used to play badminton together at the company court, so we became sort of acquaintances.

Yesterday I went out for dinner at a café that’s quite far from the main city. Not really the type of place where you randomly run into office people.

And guess who I see there — Ritika and Varun.

Not just casually eating. They were drinking together, sitting very close, holding hands and at one point he was literally kissing her hands. Definitely didn’t look like a “colleagues catching up” situation, especially in a place like Bilaspur where people usually keep things low-key.

Now I’m stuck in a weird dilemma.

On one hand, her husband is a decent guy and I kind of know him. On the other hand, this is clearly their personal situation and getting involved could backfire badly.

If I tell him — even anonymously — and it somehow traces back to me, it could create a huge scene because Ritika lives in the same apartment complex and I stay here with my family.

But at the same time, staying silent after seeing that also feels strange.
