Is it worth it to transfer senior year?

So I’ve been going to the same high school for the past three years and next year I was thinking about going to boarding school due to academic and I would get better opportunities at lacrosse there because the team I play for right now is really bad and their team is really good and I would do great at the school I want to go to and it’s 2 hours away but my friend lives there and I would live with him and it’s Christian and I’m very religious and I think it would help me commit to my dream college.

Should I stay at public school one more year or transfer?
