A-Levels Mathematics

I have heard: you can not get into a T20 college without A-Levels Mathematics. Is that true? I dislike Mathematics, and don't get the best of grades in it. Do I still have to take it? Can't A-Levels+IGGSE Economics and IGCSE Economics fulfill the quantitative requirements for my majors (PoliSci+Socio)?
