Crossplay freezing

Anyone have any idea why my game keeps freezing on xbox? Im playing crossplay with my buddy on pc and im hosting. We were good for the first hour or so then all the sudden sometimes on my turn i cant end turn or click anything. The only button that works is holding my right stick down and i can see the red cones of where enemies are looking i guess? Very new to the game and was having a blast but the constant freezing and having to restart in the middle of a fight is making it unplayable… was thinking about trying on his host cause then if it would freeze me out he could at least finish the fight but would rather have a fix if anyone would know.. please help!
