Razorswitch or Leaf-Staff

Hey guys, I’m a boon with D2R, haven’t played it since it came out, but have been wanting to after seeing the Warlock and playing all the other Diablos for awhile.

Anyway, I’m a lower-40s’ level Warlock, following a fire-build guide, and have been running a staff with the “Leaf” runeword pretty much all through normal, and I’m on Act 3 in Nightmare, and just got this from a drop: https://diablo.fandom.com/wiki/Razorswitch

Now, I know it doesn’t compare on offense to Leaf, but the resistances alone allow me to pretty much empty my inventory of charms, as literally 3/4 of my inventory is currently charms to max out resistances.

I just want to know if that is worth the offense-loss trade off? Those of you that have many hours more than me, is it usually worth it to be more defensive-minded? I was not dying at all with Leaf, I actually haven’t died yet, but I’m getting close to Hell-difficulty, and per the guide, make a respec to “magic” from “fire,” so I kinda feel like this staff came at the right time, but wtf do I know….this is was Reddit is for, after all.
