Finished the game - DE might be the better game, but I enjoyed EE much more

If someone asked me which is the better game, I would choose DE over EE. EE lacks DE's rich grit and texture; it helps that DE has a lot more content than EE. There's also the fact that DE is arguably the progenitor of the "stats as personality traits fighting over internal monologue" crpg games.

On a personal level, I much prefer EE over DE in terms of tone and theme. I grew up on Douglas Adams and Terry Pratchett. Esoteric Ebb reminded me of "Small Gods" in particular. Most of the time, you're laughing at all the silliness but at crucial moments its sincere and heart-warming.
