Bursectomy

I am a 62 year old female. I am 5'7" and weight 165 pounds. I have multiple health issues, both physical and mental. Tomorrow (March 9th, 2026) I am scheduled for a bursectomy on my right knee. First I need to preface the history of my right knee and what I went through in the past couple of weeks, (in other words, to make a short story long). Back in October, I was doing water fitness and out of nowhere, the back of my knee started to give me pain. I went to see my orthopaedic surgeon, the one who did a knee replacement on that knee back in 2018. He took X-rays and didn't see anything. He gave me a cortisone shot and it did nothing. I went back to see him and he ordered an MRI which showed nothing. He gave me another cortisone shot in different area of my knee. Nothing. He ordered an ultrasound thinking that it may have been an infected Baker's Cyst. It wasn't. He finally scheduled the bursectomy. Fast forward to February 25th. I woke up with a mild pain in the right side of my abdomen, no big deal. While at water fitness, the pain got worse and worse. I left class early and when I was driving home the pain became so unbearable that I was screaming in my car. I went to urgent care. While I was in the exam room, for an hour (with no one checking on me), I was screaming and yelling at the top of my lungs, "please God help me! Please just kill me". I had a kidney stone before many years ago but the pain I was experiencing at urgent care was much, much worse so I didn't think it was a stone. They called an ambulance and I went to the ER (thankfully the EMT had given me torodol (sp?) since urgent care doesn't give pain meds. At the hospital, they put me in the "fast-track" waiting room where I waited for almost 5 hours to be seen. They couldn't give me anything for the pain until I was in a room. When I was finally taken back, they gave me morphine. The results of my lab and blood work came back as well as the results of my CT scan. They told me that I had a kidney stone causing blockage, a UTI and sepsis. They admitted me to the hospital and the next day (the 26th) I had a Ureteroscopy to remove the stone. This was over two weeks ago. Is it safe for me to get the bursectomy tomorrow? When I went in to get an EKG last week for this surgery, I did tell the nurse about my kidney stone procedure. She said that since it was over two weeks ago, I would be fine. I just want to make sure and find out if there are any risks by going through the bursectomy. Thanks!
