I haven't binged since leaving my relationship

I moved homes about two weeks ago and since being here I haven't binged, nor have I felt the urge.

I'm training for a marathon which means my appetite is through the roof and initially, I think I was kidding myself thinking "I can eat what I want I'm burning loads of calories!" yeaahhh no. My 27km run yesterday barely burned 2000 calories. I can eat that in an hour. Plus, running makes you really hungry as well as tired, which in turn makes you even more hungry.

Anyway, my ex indulged in junk food a LOT, except being a 6'2 man, he got away with it a lot better than I can at 5'6. Long story, I was financially trapped in that flat for months after I broke up with him which was when my bingeing got to its worst. Like, making raw cookie dough and eating it. I'm wondering now if being in that stressful, unhappy environment I couldn't escape made me seek out comfort in overeating.

I never connected the dots until just now, my friend and i had been to an event and hadn't had any lunch so we went to the shops to get some snacks for the way home and all I got was a protein bar and a 40g bag of crisps and was... fine. I went on a long run yesterday, I'd barely eaten until then, I'm PMSing... and yet I felt no desire to overindulge.

I don't have any sadness or stress I need to squash down with food. I ate my snacks then had my dinner of salmon, couscous and veggies with peppermint tea after. No desire to overeat or binge.

Anyway. It might be considering if your relationship is helping or hurting the way you eat.
