Travel during Tapati or another more quiet time?

To those who have been to Easter Island during either or both times of year when it’s more quiet (like November) vs during the Tapati festival, how did you find your experience? I’m not huge into parties but did want to experience the cultural aspect of the festival. However, the thought of walking around in silence with less tourists is extremely enticing. Can anyone share their experience with either or both times of year?
