is All Inclusive worth?

Hello everyone I am seeking some help to decide. Planning a relaxing trip to Punta Cana with my wife and 5 month old in May/June. Confused if an All Inclusive Resort would be worth spending C$2000 for 3 days! P.S Neither me or my wife drink alcohol, and have even heard that food provided in the AIR isn't satisfying/tasty.
