Why Zorin os core feels laggy?

Today i switched from win 10 to zorin os on my PC with i5 6400, 8 gb of ram. But it feels very sluggish, especially when i start video recording with obs on lowest settings, browser stutters, YouTube video has hiccups. I am new to experiencing any other os than windows, can someone guide me?
