Android Auto Pixel 10 with 2024 GTI can't connect

I just switched my phone from a Galaxy S24+ to a Pixel 10, and the wireless Android Auto in my 2024 GTI won’t connect. The car recognizes my phone, and the phone recognizes the car, but when I try to connect it just loads for a while and then says, “Sorry, your mobile device could not be connected.”

Is the software just not compatible? Is this a car issue or a phone issue? I would really appreciate some information about this since I use Android Auto daily, so it’s kind of a dealbreaker for me.
