Cryovac ribs smelled like eggs. Didn’t rinse them but I pat them dry and they’re smoking. Going to be okay?
I opened ribs I bought last night that were good until like the 16th or something, at a local butcher/market. They smelled like eggs when I opened them which apparently happens with cryvacced ribs which they were. They otherwise looked fine not slimy good color etc. I dried them with paper towels then put my rub on them and they’ve been cooking for 4 hours in the smoker at 250.
They probably have another hour left and now I’m just seeing people say to rinse them before hand if they’re in cryo which I didn’t do. You think they’re safe?
