The number Three

The number Three

Being the youngest child of 3 is tough. Many people around the world think that being the youngest means you're the most spoiled or you're the favorite. Having to match the same grades as my oldest and same social life as my middle is exhausting.

My mom thinks since I'm the third I don't know what I'm talking about, since I'm third I have no say over any decisions, since I'm the third I'm the maid of the family, since I'm number three I have to go below one and two. There just no way of changing it.

In school, however, it's a completely different story. I feel as if I have another side. I just wish that someday my family can see that part of me, but they won't. They didn't even take a chance to know the first half, what makes you think they'll see the other?

School at times is exhausting. I try to make people laugh, even though I'm the one they're laughing at, not my jokes. I have 2 friends, both of which I'm extremely grateful for. But alas, I was the third to join. I hate the fact that I'm the floater friend. I'm always gonna be not the second but the third choice.

There are three chairs in my living room, yet I cannot choose my own chair. I will always have the last chair.
