So CassidyTOYSNHK has been a popular theory for a while, but as time has gone on, a lot of counterarguments have been made towards it, especially including the gender of the vengeful spirit being described as a male. That’s why FaceNouns was made, the idea that Cassidy either purposefully or forcefully had alter their form to look like Golden Freddy, being a blonde male. However, a lot of the evidence towards it can be argued against or straight up debunked pretty easily, which is why I’d like to share my take on it.

Firstly, no, the blonde boy in the FNAF movie didn’t alter their form to look like Golden Freddy in any way. The intro shows he was always blonde, which wouldn’t be that far off since this is at least the second or third time the primary spirit haunting Golden Freddy has been shown to be blonde. This can’t be used as evidence for FaceNouns since at this point, it’s just false information. The only way I can see this is if Scott purposefully had the boy look blonde in the intro because “he didn’t want him being Cassidy this whole time” to be revealed, but that could also just be overthinking. There’s no signs of the minigame altering what happened in the movie universe in any way, so at most, this idea is speculation.

But then what about Kelsey from the Frights books? To make the answer simple, even if he is an alternate form of an existing spirit, this could just be Scott reinforcing the pattern that a blonde boy and Golden Freddy are tied back to each other. Like I said previously, we’ve seen this multiple times, potentially up to four of them, and isn’t it kinda concerning that half of them (Michael Brooks and movie boy) are literally blonde? And even if we want to ignore Michael Brooks since I’m not sure if he’s just a graphic novel issue or not, we still have the movie boy purposefully looking incredibly similar to the vengeful spirit as we see them. If they look similar (which may be intentional since Scott asked the actor to dye their hair blonde), and one is literally a blonde male, then wouldn’t that kinda make it more likely that the vengeful spirit is also a literal blonde boy since the movie boy and the vengeful spirit share far more in common than Kelsey to either of them?

**Now for my explanation on the vengeful spirit**, which may or may not be incredibly controversial, I think our odds are slightly leaning towards GoldenTrifecta and BlondeBoyTOYSNHK. It not only matches what we see in the films with his behavior matching the vengeful spirit, but it also solves many of the issues people had with other options besides Cassidy such as a motive for what the vengeful spirit does in UCN and their ties to Golden Freddy.

***To address the counterarguments to these theories:***

Why don’t we see the blonde boy until UCN? Because it’s a plot twist, we weren’t meant to know about him until this point. Toy Chica’s Highschool Years heavily supports this with the Foxy hook in her backpack before we see any of her killings throughout the show. This would make a total of seven victims that William lured and killed (including Charlotte), and both BV and Elizabeth don’t have any good reason to be the hook or any other character since they were never directly killed or lured by William. It isn’t a retcon because it doesn’t make ideas such as GoldenDuo entirely wrong, same with the MCI only having 5 KNOWN victims.

Why doesn’t he do anything until UCN? Well, animatronics possessed by three spirits, including a vengeful one, isn’t as odd of an idea as many would think since the Stitchwraith, a book character who also has a vengeful spirit that tortures William possessing it, also has a third spirit that doesn’t do anything until later on, that being William. Yeah this would be somewhat swapping the roles of Golden Freddy around under GoldenTrifecta, but this could just be the blonde male choosing not to interact or do anything with the other ghosts of Golden Freddy until later on. Cassidy and BV may never even meet the blonde spirit at any point in the timeline depending on how you interpret when Happiest Day takes place.

But how does the blonde boy end up in Golden Freddy? Well he could’ve also just been stuffed in the suit. It would shockingly be a lot like “Together Forever,” a Fazbear Frights story where two people get springlocked and stuck inside an animatronic suit, dying in the process, just like how two bodies, Cassidy and blonde boy, could’ve also been placed in Golden Freddy together. Heck, even under GoldenDuo, there isn’t a guarantee that William or anybody else put his body directly into the Fredbear suit, meaning if we really want to pull the “two dead kids inside Golden Freddy” route, that doesn’t have to contradict BV being involved. But if we really want to say “BV was also stuffed in the suit by William later on” the Stitchwraith also has three beings directly tied to the Stitchwraith, that being Andrew and William through the Fetch battery attached to it and Jake through the mask of the Simon doll he haunts. Three beings having physical ties to a character isn’t impossible either, which could once again include BV, Cassidy, and the blonde boy.

Well if the other spirits change their form in the movies to look like the animatronics, the why doesn’t the blonde boy? To answer that, I saw a really good post on reddit which I’ll link here, but essentially the blonde boy may be a lot more smart and remember who he actually is while the others could be forgetting that, further supporting the idea that we aren’t seeing an alternate form in the first movie.

***Conclusion and TLDR:***

The primary points behind FaceNouns are either inherently flawed, speculative, or can be explained away by BlondeBoyTOYSNHK or GoldenTrifecta, which is why I’m choosing to believe both of those theories now. This is probably the last time I’ll be talking about the vengeful spirit for a while since I don’t wanna just become the “UCN vengeful spirit” guy because of how talked to death this topic is. I hope you all have a great day and time for me to watch BFDIA 24!!!
