25M looking for some new friends

I am 25M looking for more people to connect with and hopefully possibly make friends with!

I am a big yapper, I love talking about practically anything. I tend to be a bit of an overexplainer at times too, but what can I say, I think the small details always improve stories. With that in mind, I also try a few times a year to write short stories, but I don’t think I’ve ever finished a single one lol. Most are post-apocalyptic, heavily inspired by stuff like The Last of Us, S.T.A.L.K.E.R., and a bit of Fallout.

Now that we’re on the topic of hobbies, some of my others are reading, listening to music or audiobooks, playing video games, occasionally doodling or sketching, watching movies or TV shows, taking walks or bike rides, researching random useless stuff like video game lore, watching hours of YouTube and getting lost in wormholes, laying in bed and contemplating my life’s decisions, and wishing I was saving up for a house instead of being a fetus in my mother’s womb.

I like dark humor but I respect boundaries and I do draw a line with the subject of my jokes.

Video games that I play are mostly Minecraft, Black Ops 3 custom zombies, Halo Master Chief Collection, and Half Sword. I have a hard time stepping out of my comfort zone and trying new games, but if it interests me, I’d love to give it a try with someone else!

Music is a big part of my life. When I’m not at work, sleeping, or spending time with my significant other, I usually have an earbud in. Most of my library is movie/TV show/video game OSTs and metal, and don’t even get me started on metal. I will yap your ear off. Examples of bands that I like are Trivium, Spiritbox, Inferi, Opeth, Avenged Sevenfold, Metallica, Djo, Pink Floyd, Creed, Alexisonfire, Bring Me The Horizon, and Tool. Some more slightly obscure musicians/bands that I like are DROID, Maphra (I need her original music like NOW), Ihsahn, Blackbraid, Abigail Williams, If These Trees Could Talk, Agalloch, Oubliette, and Mare Cognitum.

Movies/shows that I watch often or just really enjoyed are Star Wars, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, X-Files, Fringe, Game of Thrones, Titan A.E., Treasure Island, Man of Steel, Inception, The Dark Knight, Annihilation, Dune Part Two, The Black Phone, Longlegs, The Conjuring 2, The Matrix, The Creator, Event Horizon, Midsommar, Jurassic Park, Gladiator 1 & 2, Terminator 2, The Vvitch, IT, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Insidious, Hereditary, Prometheus, 1917, Superman Returns, John Wick, Tron: Legacy, Super 8, Sicario, Logan, and Princess Mononoke.
