Rushing or delaying a smut scene

Im writing an explicit fan fiction but its my first time writing a fanfiction in general let alone a smut. So I want to ask on if it is possible to insert into a context where a man and a woman just confessed their love without the use of words (aka just by actions) and after that they drank a lotta alcohol (they already had drank a significant amount before). So, the man had to carry the blacked out woman to their room. He put her on the bed and then lied next to her cuddling with her. Would it be a rushed sex scene if I just made the woman wake up and slowly wake up the man too, then a little whispering dialogue, a foreplay yada yada yada they fuck, and just cuddling and a little convo as aftercare.

OOOR I can delay their first fucking scene to their actual home after they come back from their adventure-y trip. Like, "I've been waitin for this since that night" type of deal. If anybody wants to read it I can send the chapter but yall would be missing a fuck ton of context without reading the previous 90 pages. The chapter is like 3k-4k words and I dont think anybody would wanna bother that much
