Apologies for the lack of light in this photo.

We got a rare sunny day in Scotland for the end of winter/start of spring. So most of today was spent exploring the countryside with the family. But the days are still short - 2 more weeks to the Equinox. Winter crocus bulbs un the background to show it’s still cold…

I got half an hour at the end to take some cuttings from my dubious Graptopetalum bellum collection.

The plan is to give them a week or so to dry and callous. And then they are off to the upside down part of the world - to Australia, in hope to create a backup collection with the founder of this thread.

I can’t find any information on the internet, so this is literally all I know - you will see why it’s a “dubious” collection.

These include:

Graptopetalum bellum “Tiny” - a miniature form

Graptopetalum Lincoln Star Struck - bred by Paul Goodey of Southfield Nursery. Clusters of light pink/white flowers. I think it has some unknown Echeveria genes added. But I have no idea if it’s a seed hybrid or a clonal hybrid, so I have taken cuttings from the 2 plants I have.

Graptopetalum bellum “Nova”. This name seems to exist among amateur growers in UK selling on eBay. But I have no idea if it’s a cultivar or confused label. There appears to be one nursery in Australia selling a Graptosedum Nova. So who knows…

An unknown bellum hybrid - at least the label is honest…

A plant that I got from the UK’s national collection of Graptopetalum. But it’s much lighter in colour so we are waiting until it flowers in hope of being able to identify it.

I’m aware of a Graptopetalum “vega” but I don’t have that one yet. I have Graptopetalum “Vera”, but it’s too young for cuttings. Again no idea if it’s a cultivar or a confused label. Vega and Vera are very similar names…
