50M4F looking for connection through culture
M50 M4F Looking for my fellow frustrated writer
How did I get stuck here? How can I break out? Where is freedom, joy, acceptance, delight? Why must I endure hour after hour, day after day, of my partner's priorities, with no hope and no relief?
Life is short, right? I'm here because I made a mistake and married the wrong person. It happens and it's not rare probably. And we are tangled up a thousand different ways, kids, house, tuition, all that stuff.
I need some kind of genuine connection though or I'm going to lost my mind. What would make a genuine connection for me?
Getting to know a gal who shares my interests. Literature. Movies, fun ones and b&w classics and foreign artsy ones. Theatre. Poetry. If you were the kind of girl who was in drama club in high school and painted your nails black and thought grocery stores were a fascist conspiracy (or something similar), I'm basically already attracted to you. Not that you need those traits today. You're a grownup after all. Maybe you spent some time in graduate school, in the humanities, before settling down and getting all the career bullshit everyone respects.
I would love to correspond with someone, get to know you slowly, but have fun along the way. Fun, witty banter, complaining, sharing frustrations and joys and opinions. Maybe we'd generate a kind of affection that could turn intimate when it feels right and clicks. Not expecting something in person but I wouldn't dismiss the possibility if it's going well.
Physically I'm attracted to femininity I guess but I don't have a type and find all shapes and sizes attractive. I'm more attracted to personality and attitude, someone intelligent and rebellious on some level.
I'm an average looking swarthy white guy, somewhat fit and muscular (though not due to recent efforts -- I was an athlete in high school and that has continued to show up in my physique. I am 5'8" so not the tallest guy if that's your thing.
Anyway, I'd love to hear from you if this has caught your interest. Thanks for reading.
