Giving yourself rewards for subscriber milestones

What do you all think about setting subscriber milestones, but especially setting some sort of reward for them for yourself?

I have a small piano channel.

I've already spent multiple hundreds of dollars on tripods, low key. I have not recorded enough videos with them lol.

My idea is basically to at a thousand subscribers and allow myself to buy a nice recording arm.

Then at 10,000 I will allow myself to buy Meta glasses, which will really take my content to the next level.

Anyway, that's my idea. Just discovered this subreddit and YouTube's a great opportunity, so I'm posting here.
