**Link to COA**: \[MISSING\]

**Brand, Product, and Strain (6/10):**  Miss Grass. They are simply a "brand and box" company. This means that they work with a grower in the state of NJ, the grower agrees to grow on behalf of them, but instead of using the grower's packaging and branding, they use their own (Miss Grass).

Miss Grass comes in "Generous Eighths" (4.2g, cute enough to give a nod to the "420" culture").

As of July (and possibly even earlier), Miss Grass no longer puts Ascend in their jars. It's now Garden Greens.

The jars are in fact beautiful, heafty, and somewhat nice and ritualistic to open and store.

That said, I dislike the size of the jars to store this quantity of bud (only approx 30% - 50% of the airspace is actually filled with bud).

After about my third smoke, my bud begins to dry super fast in these jars. So, I usually move them over to smaller jars when I bring them home to avoid the drying.

That said, I rated these guys a 6/10 because this is just straight up branding and packaging. The bud is basically nothing more than Garden Greens. So if you love Garden Greens, you'll love Miss Grass better, because their great bud is not destroyed by their lackadaisical packaging decisions. This, to me, makes the equivalent $55 per 1/8th worth it in my eyes..... but frankly, only if you purchase closer to the harvest date, however.

**Lineage (4/10): \[UNKNOWN BREEDER\] ; \[Chemdawg x GSC\] (Allegedly)**

I greatly disdain Miss Grass for not being upfront and honest about the genetics of their strains. But at least unlike other strains, this one seems to be an actual real strain that exists and wasn't just made up in the marketing offices of MG.

Putting that small gripe aside, it's really hard for me to believe anything Miss Grass posts on their website regarding their strains. This one was grown by Garden Greens. Did they get their seeds from GG? Did they have in house genetics that we don't know about? It's not really too clear.

So, if anyone happens to have a COA for this specific Miss Grass, I would greatly appreciate the hyperlink to it so I can post it here for full transparency.

I picked this one up for $32.50 and the harvest date was July. I took a bet on this because (1) the discount was just too good to pass up and (2) this came from our dispensary, and I know how much care my boss puts into her vault.

*In my opinion, this bet paid off heavy dividends.*

**Look, Feel and Texture (8.5/10)**: The feel of this was actually much fresher than the "Lemon GSC" (aka. another variation of "runtz") I had the other day. This felt fresh, like only 3 months from the farm and not the near 6 where it actually is. It had very very very slight cracking to dryness, but honestly not where I expected it to be. My "Blue Dream" from July that I smoked backed in January was way more dried out than this. This strain from this specific grower in this specific jar is specifically fire (I wouldn't generalize out from there in any dimension, however).

When squeezed, it didn't fall apart at all. Only squished into a small flower pancake. Nice and sticky. My grinder, for some reason, never clogs. I have no idea why. I basically need straight up CBD flower for that to show even the slightest signs of clogging. Maybe I'm lucky? Who knows?! But my grinder had no issue with this despite it being sticky.

Under the scope was quite impressive, to be honest, for this being July. Some signs of oxidation, but no where near what I've seen elsewhere. I even caught a few blue tinted trichomes during my visual exploration at the microscopic level (didn't capture these).

**Aroma and flavor (9/10):** This opens with a burst of chemical and ammonia smoothed out by a slightly savory buttery cream (sort of a similar aroma hit that one could expect from GMO Cookies).

This strain is almost similar to the aroma of "Chem Butter" from Illicit, but if you were to completely remove the terpinolene and let the other aromas do the talking. There isn't much "mint" from this that I can pick up from the (allegedly) GSC influence, other than on one of my exhales, but it was very very slight and subtle, and possible just simply environmental.

Other than that, the best way to describe this is if on were to walk into a kitchen that just had its floor cleaned with ammonia, but there's a fresh roasted garlic Foccaccia baking in the oven.

**Body Effects (8.0/10):** Extremely head high leaning. This is typical of what I get from a lot of Chemdawg based strains. I get somewhat of a high that is similar to Sour Diesel, Kosher Sour, Chem Butter (the middle part of the experience thought), etc. However, there is a subtle body relaxation that takes hold.

For me personally, anything I've had from a GSC derived strain has led me to have: (1) steady nerves that temper my generalized anxiety disorder, (2) extreme balanced focus where I can easily and swiftly move in and our of "ADHD hyperfocus mode", and (3) slight subtle euphoria that is enough to motivate me to want to move my body to do work, but more "fun work" (more on this in a moment.)

Unfortunately near the last two hits is when extreme anxiety hit in. Everything was running smooth and perfect until those last two hits. I had 0.5g in my bowl, ground up to a consistency that permitted easy formation of my natural filter in my bowl on the bottom but loose enough to permit sufficient oxygen to burn it at the temp low enough to decarboxylate but at the same time carry forth the green goodness.

..... (sorry, reflecting on that remark, i think i went a bit overboard in the level of depth describing what went on there. **TL;DR: It was a nice awesome head buzz, but followed by anxiety because I hit too much. Err on side of caution**)

**Medicinal Relief (6/10):** This has helped my ADHD and my GAD. My ADHD is usually quite troubling for my day to day life. So when a strain like this comes along that helps to kick my neurons into the correct firing pattern to get my motivational circuits going for the day, it really means a lot when I'm able to find this "mojo", so to speak.

I personally used to (unknowingly and ignorantly at the time) self-medicate with alcohol and excessive work (>120hrs of work per week, for 10 years). So when I finally was able to quit the devils juice and the outright disrespect I gave my body by working carelessly that many hours per week, it became a serious struggle to get motivated to do anything, especially from burnout.

The Chemdawg series, and strains that derive from it, I have found to be great for people who have suffered from burnout (which is not yet a clinically recognized condition under DSM5, but is one which plenty of neurological research in top-tier research journals exist to certainly understand that it is an actual real neurological condition and struggle that many folks suffer from).

For some reason, Chemdawg has helped me dig out of my burnout, and want to actually take on more challenges, more roles, and more responsibilities that I was too afraid to do due to many of the workplaces abuses I put myself through.

This is a strain that when consumed, it really kick starts the brain to go out and like Nike says: "just do it". "F\*\*\* burnout!. This strain, is that, in my opinion.

**Food, Drink, and Environment Pairings:**

Great for getting some serious focused work done. Have some writing to do? Deadline for that sales report? Need to get that code update done before the next CD/CI schedule release? This kickstarts your brain, tempers all your sensory input, turns off those anxious circuits that kick in when someone interrupts you.

"Mommy. Mommy!". "Daddy. DADDY!". "How can I help you sweetie?". This strain is that. It helps temper those anger circuits we naturally have when we get interrupted. This strain made me sweeter, kinder, more tempered. My daughter called my name about 40 times within the hour (no exaggeration..... it's currently a phase). Not a single nerve of anger shed. Hugs instead.

This is a great strain for grabbing redbull, coffee, or lemonade and shredding the streets with the board or the hill with the skis.

**Overall Verdict (7.28/10):**

I love Garden Greens bud (not their bags). I love Miss Grass branding and jars. And I love "Chem Cookies" that strain (assuming that is what this is). But I gotta say, MG once again is killing me with this lack of transparency thing. I cannot for the life of me find any info on this strain, to even see if it is the legit "Chem Cookies" that are listed in grow databases, leafly, and all bud.

That said, for $32.50 for 4.55g of bud (my scale clocked it in 0.35g over the stated 4.2g), for bud in this quality, despite it being near expiration, this was a gem of a find. I wish Spring time didn't bring in so many birthdays in my life, because I honestly would rush back to buy up 2 oz of this over 2 days if I could afford it.

For me, for now, the one was a pleasure enough. I'm going to enjoy this, and all the wonderful productive coding and work I'll now be doing, outside in this lovely weather, to the whiff of steam emerging from the crema from my freshly made espresso (well...... Mcdonalds coffee... but a man can dream).
