Recommendations on where to stay for NYC half.

Hello, runner from San Diego here, running NYC half next weekend. Any recommendations on which area or which hotels you can share ? We’re staying for 5 nights and doing all the touristy stuff, so we’re looking for something efficient for the race and for touristing around. Appreciate your help, thanks.
