Is it safe to say that an ABSN is better than PA school if you’re in California?

ACCEPTED

Seems like in California nurses are super powerful to the point their lobbying and unions are the best in the world. They’re always getting raises and pushing the ladder higher. Although PAs can switch specialties, there’s still lower pay and less job opportunities when I search online for jobs.

The advance in nursing is that if you can’t find NP work then you have your RN to fall back on. And the RN alone is already enough to surpass PA pay if you’re in leadership. For example in the Bay Area they pay full time W2 Charge Nurses $118 an hour as base. The highest PAs I see are usually at $105 an hour for their max which is still good but put money aside. Theres still more nursing jobs overall.

So from my research I see that in almost any other state PAs will earn more than RNs and equivalent to NPs so in that case it makes more sense.

Can anyone from California confirm if I’m reading the room right?
