stealing glances: a sign of attraction or curiosity?

I met a friend (who previously rejected me) in a group hangout a few days ago. it was super nice and chill. during the activity, I would feel her gaze

on me, and I looked she was also looking at me. so we’d smile at each other and go back to doing what we were doing

I caught her a few times and can’t pinpoint if it was pure curiosity or some interest. what do you think? thanks
