Gamescom with a chronic illness and dietary requirements

I have IBD and I'm really worried about having a flare up while I'm there, am I allowed to bring my own food in? I did read somewhere that outside food wasn't allowed but also I've read on here on the subreddit that you are allowed to bring your own so I'm just wondering? any advice/help would be much appreciated!
