Reta at 18
(TW: mentioning ED's)
Hey everyone so lately I have been seeing alot of 18-20yo writing in this subreddit and alot of you seem to say to not take it. The ones i saw so far were mostly people in a quite healthy weight range.
So I just turned 18 a few weeks ago, and I started Reta 5 weeks ago (I started 2 weeks before turning 18).
My starting weight was 244Ibs (110kg) and Im 5'4 (166cm) female. I have been trying to lose weight since Im 11, and have been overweight pretty much my whole life.
I know I might be able to lose weight without it since its literally physics just eat less calories than you burn.
But I have a severe binge eating disorder, and the last time I went on a diet I got a-typical anorexia and latet on bulimia (both diagnosed by a psychologist). I have been to countless doctors and weight loss experts for help and nutrition but nothing ever worked out for me since ED-Culture is kinda everything my family is (eastern European culture). And yeah since starting Reta I don’t feel the need to binge and I can workout and eat healthy without falling into my old habits, since Im still kinda in recovery and therapy. I have lost 12Ibs so far in those 5 weeks which im pretty proud of (Ik some it water weight, but it still makes me quite happy).
Yeah ig i just wanted to ask you guys if you still think reta is a good idea in a situation like mine and hear your opinion to all of this.
I will still continue to take it because of all the benefits and minimal side effects. But I just wanted to know your thoughts and opinions.
