Can I use the transparent case with the keyboard case ?

Sooo, I have the ESR keyboard case for my iPad Air 11” but I don’t like the inner case when it is detached (the plastic feels so cheap on it + it’s ugly-). It made me think that I could maybe buy a transparent case (also from ESR). The keyboard case can be used without the inner case there’s just as small gap between the iPad and the keys when closing it.
