What is up with him?

I absolutely love his themes of alienation, revolt and discontent, and he comes up with amazing ideas on how to explore them. But while watching his stuff theres a certain stiffness that prevents me from fully emotionally engaging with his work.

Even when he delivers a great scene I tend to be thinking "i should be enjoying this more than I am rn" bc the execution of it or the surrounding story beats is just not fully realized.
