RTMP protection layer that hides error screen from viewers.

[How to]

I’m trying to build a protection layer for an IPTV stream.

Pipeline:

Encoder → SRS → Relay → XUI → viewers

Sometimes the encoder/modem outputs an error screen when the connection drops. If this happens, that screen eventually reaches viewers through the delayed stream.

What I want is a way to:

• Detect when the video switches to an error screen (preferably by analyzing the video itself, not audio levels)

• Immediately terminate or cut the RTMP stream before that frame reaches the delayed output

• Prevent viewers from ever seeing the error screen

Essentially I want the stream to stop or reset as soon as the error screen appears, instead of passing it downstream.
