Beginning Orks for 11th, where should I start? [500pt]

With 11th soon, I'm likely going to start an Ork army as its the only faction I like but have yet to collect. I'm coming from a recent-ish Dark Eldar 1k (before that its really just more Eldar) so I'm a bit overwhelmed by the amount of options.

I was thinking of a box of Boyz, a Warboss & a Trukk. But then I saw the combat patrol & a ton of other stuff, and got lost. Though really I've narrowed it down to one or the other, so it's mostly just where to head from there I suppose.

Obviously with 11th around the corner I don't care at all about playing the meta, I want to start Orks so I can be less of a haughty Elf who slaps Bright Lances on anything that can take it. But that doesn't stop there being so many options from getting a bit overwhelming!

Thanks in advance to anyone who gives advice, hoping to join the WAAAGH! soon.
