ICCU & high amp charging relationship

Is it just me or are the ICCU failures more common in the USA. It must surely be related to the higher rate charging that's common there. In the UK because most houses are single phase most charging is thus 32A (or 7KW). I wonder if there's data out there but it would make sense. More current, more heat, especially using the part at maximum capacity. I have mine set to use 90% of available current from the charger anyway.
