To Fall In Love

To fall in love can be a wonderful thing

But love's ending with it great sadness can bring

Of a beautiful feeling for this person that cannot be again

This is how it is when only memories of lost love remain

Love only lasts a lifetime for the privileged few

This is not saying anything in any way that is new

But the words of one wise well worthy of recall

Better to know of love and fail than never know of love at all

To a happier life true love can be the seed

And those who have found their soulmate in love are lucky indeed

For many love has a short life like a beautiful flower

That blooms in the sunshine after a spring shower

With the blooming of love few things can compare

But loves that last a lifetime to say the least are rare.
