Is Kazakhstan Russian grammer a little bit different to European Russian?

So I'm not quite there yet with Russian cases, my friend from Kazakhstan, he posts a lot, and I notice like his word endings just seem completely different to how ive read Russian before many times, i feel as if the cases he uses are definitely used but not as frequently as he uses them. Of course i could just ask him, but he's more of a street guy if you know what i mean, to me its interesting. Any explanation?
