not sure if I actually felt weak or I just used it as an excuse to eat

TW: Numbers

I was trying to “get back on track” today, but something weird happened.

While I was studying, I suddenly felt like my hands were weak and I might’ve been having palpitations. I’m not even sure if I actually was, but I felt short of breath or like my chest felt heavy. I tried counting my heartbeats, but it was normal (63-64 per min).

At that point I had already eaten about !> 1.3k <!calories, and it was around 2am. I wasn’t planning to eat anything else, but I immediately used the feeling as an excuse to eat more. I fried an egg, ate about 2½ slices of bread, and also had some sweets.

Now I’m not sure what actually caused it. Maybe it was because I drank about 1.5 Coke Zero earlier and the caffeine made me feel like I was palpitating, or maybe I was just anxious because I have a test tomorrow.

Has anyone else experienced something like this while studying or late at night? What could it be? I’m trying to figure out if I was actually feeling physically weak or if it was more anxiety and I just convinced myself I needed to eat.
