Is there an unspoken luggage limit?
Hi all,
We're thinking of doing a transatlantic crossing for an international move to do something different, have a vacation of sorts, make it memorable, and take advantage of the lack of luggage limits to bring more personal stuff with us than we otherwise could by plane. Let's say hypothetically we show up with 8-10 suitcases that are within the size limit for checked luggage on a plane.
Can that be a problem despite that there is no official luggage limit?
I know there's a weight limit per bag and that's no problem.
I also know everything has to fit in our cabin and that's fine, too.
I just don't want to show up at the terminal, excited for the journey and the move and be told "ah yes sir there's no limit but, you see, we can't let you on board with all that". That would be... a problem.
Tangent/bonus question: I have a precious (to me), unopened bottle of Scotch whisky that I want to move. I won't open it on board, I just want to take it with for safekeeping. Is that permissible, do I need to do anything special?
