How do I not be overly critical of my acting?

I've been trying to act in a short film I wrote just for fun. But, everytime I see how I acted on a screen I can only cringe at how bad it is, I've been trying to get a satisfying shot for a little over half a week now and I'm not I'm not satisfied with anything in which I'm acting or my face is seen.
