I need help saving

I come from a household where we used to be like not broke that my parents got me anything I asked for, to not having anything while I was still young because my dad fell ill.

Now I got a job that doesn't pay well but I see other people with the same salary saving so much and i find it very hard to do so. I got to a point where I would put money in like a lock savings but unlock it the next day. I spend the money on dumb stuff that I don't really need, what can I do to stop this behavior
