IBPS CLERK CHARACTER CERTIFICATE

Hi everyone, I have a doubt regarding the IBPS Clerk character certificate.

For document verification, they are asking for a character certificate signed by a Gazetted Officer. When I went to a Gazetted Officer’s office, they told me that I should first apply it online and then they will sign it in the format provided bank.

My doubt is that most of the online sources are saying that it is signed directly. What to do?

If anyone who has already gone through IBPS Clerk DV, please guide. Thanks!
