Ad Rewards?

Around a month or two ago I noticed that closing the app completely and reopening would allow you to refresh the watch ads to receive rewards feature the game has, however since last week I can no longer do this anymore. Has this been fixed/patched out? This post is not to defend or complain about the fix/removal, just wanted to know if anyone else noticed this and if refreshing ads via closing the app was intended or not. I've got a couple more gold generating dragons to purchase and those 8 million silver habitats are quite expensive 😭
