Kinda pissed off right now, and I need help

Today I bought a 1TB M2 SSD for my Dell Latitude 5501 laptop. Things went okay, and those technicians told me there were nọting inside the SSD slot in myaptop originally so it’d be fine to insert one more SSD. Then I went home, turn the laptop on and it suddenly crashed its own OS. I crazily stupid in IT so I dont even know what to do, just turn it on and off, and try whatever I could, inclufing download the SupportAssist OS Recovery thingy. If it works, will it refresh everything from my laptop, make it empty like a factory reset? Please help me.
