supporting women’s rights, but not interacting with them in ANY form
I’m a gay man, but is there a possible way to support women’s rights without interacting with them in ANY way? in real life, on social media, or anywhere? of course gay men still benefit from the patriarchy while also being a victim of it. Naturally, women/feminists will call out gay males for exhibiting patriarchal values especially misogyny. However, I’ve seen on the internet that feminists are hostile to gay men, personally, it feels like homophobia, and they will make excuse that it’s “gay men being men not for being gay” which obviously hurts, but that doesn’t mean I’ll turned my back on them. I feel the same thing for straight men, just because they are nice doesn’t mean I’ll befriend them. Even lesbians are homophobic to gay men. I really hope there’s a way to support these women without befriending them.
