Hope for the future

Thinking about it recently, I’m of the headspace that no one has to die for Ippo to make a comeback. But what I would love to see is Ippo having a talk with his mom and that gives him the spark he needs to come out of retirement. I have ZERO clue what would have to happen to make something like that make sense due to the fact that his mom didn’t want him to get hurt boxing but didn’t stop him because she saw how much he loved it. Odds of this being believable at all is probably below zero. But it’s a thought that makes me smile.
