check deposit ?

i have a $100 check i’m just wondering how long it would take chime to deposit the money will it be instant bc it’s a small amount? i’ve never deposited a check so this will be my first time doing it on chime.. or should i just take it to the bank it’s from and cash it? wondering what will be quicker and more convenient..
