Church friends (Ex)
Hi, this is my first time ranting here.
So, I used to have friends in our local church, but we ended up having issues with each other. I’ll admit that I did something wrong to them — I spread false rumors about them. But to be honest, they were the ones who started everything.
Before I did anything wrong, they were already attacking me. And mind you, I wasn’t doing anything bad. I was just minding my own business because I was busy with a Cultural Exchange Activity with some Singaporean friends at that time. Then suddenly, they started attacking me. This was around March to the first week of April last year.
One of them even wrote a note saying, “Gumagawa ka na naman ng eksena.” (“You’re making a scene again.”) Honestly, it sounded really pathetic.
Fast forward. After I spread those rumors, I apologized. I clarified my actions and also addressed the attacks they made against me earlier. And believe me, I really thought everything was already okay. But it wasn’t. They kept attacking me — whether in group chats or in other places. They still carried that anger toward me. This was around September last year.
The last time I checked, I saw a group chat where they were still talking about me. They were even complaining that I keep posting notes on Messenger. At that point, I just thought, “Okay, that’s your life.”
What’s frustrating is that I already apologized last year, yet they still hold that anger toward me. One of them literally rolls their eyes at me whenever they see me — in church or anywhere else.
I already threw away my ego and pride to make peace, but nothing changed. Until now, their pride is still high. And you know what makes this even more suffocating? Two of them are my co-leaders/officers in the church. With one of them, I think things are okay now. But the other one? Not at all.
