AIO to an unwashed penis?

So I am a trans woman, but I'm still in the very early stages where I'm little more than a crossdresser with a dream which makes it really hard to find anyone interested in me

So, when I finally did get a date with a man who liked me despite my glaring lack of appeal, I was willing to overlook a lot of shortcomings on his part, too. or so I told myself.

The date itself went fine. Nothing special but we did end up going to his place to have sex

Unfortunately, when I pulled back his foreskin, before I even put lips to tip, I physically recoiled from the stench. Genuinely, I don't know when he last washed his penis but I couldn't fathom letting mine get even half that bad and I don't even like the thing. The fact that he wanted me to put that thing in my mouth should qualify as biological warfare.

I cut it off right then and there in no uncertain terms and left. The next morning, I awoke to a barrage of unkind messages and that's the last I saw or heard of him.

When I told this story to one of my more pragmatic friends however, he simply replied "couldn't you have just told him to wash up?"

So... should I have? Should I have given him the opportunity to clean himself up before continuing? Was I right to dismiss this guy over a hygiene issue? I personally feel like beyond just being disgusting it's also just massively disrespectful? Idk
