How important is a skills cert for EE engineering student?

Hi, second year degree E&E student here (f21). Recently my uni offered students a short course (1day) on basic wiring or 'asas pendawaian ' with fee.

Apparently the course offers both practical and theory on this subject and states that its included cpd(mbot). My friend is encouraging me to join and I plan to do it next year before my internship since this course is offered every year by the uni. I was wondering how much benefit does a cert like this would bring me during my future career? Idk where I should ask since tbh I'm sort of awkward with my advisor and none of my family including extended family ever pursued engineering before.

Some additional info which idk would help or not is that my current cgpa is 3.42 and I'm active in multiple societies and clubs that are related to my course. I'm aiming to go into the semiconductor industry btw :) Any advice would much be appreciated!

Tldr: Is short course on basic wiring worth getting for future career?
