31M seeking friends to talk about ANYTHING!
Hello! I’m a 31-year-old guy from Southeast Asia looking to meet new people and have good conversations.
Some of the things I’m into:
- Theology – I find Abrahamic religious texts fascinating, though I’m also very interested in indigenous religions and spiritual traditions.
- Philosophy – Recently I’ve been reading and reflecting on the work of Søren Kierkegaard.
- Art appreciation – I don’t make art myself, but I truly enjoy studying and appreciating it. I’m especially drawn to surrealism, and my favorite artist is René Magritte. That said, I enjoy many forms of visual art, particularly paintings.
- Literature – Lately I’ve been listening almost exclusively to classic science fiction audiobooks. I love the atmosphere and ideas from writers like Ray Bradbury, Isaac Asimov, and Ursula K. Le Guin. I’m also a big fan of the classic series The Twilight Zone.
- Retrocomputers – I’ve never actually worked with them, but the history of early computers and old systems really fascinates me.
- Linux – I daily-drive Linux. I’m far from an expert; it just happens to be the most hassle-free OS for how I use computers. I don't code or do techy stuff, I really just use the browser, play a few games, and use free and opensource software.
- Music – I enjoy mellow music from the 70s–80s, but I also love metal—especially POWER METAL!
- Combat sports – I’m not really into ball sports, but I’m deeply interested in combat sports: Muay Thai, boxing, kickboxing, MMA, no-gi grappling, freestyle wrestling, sambo, and even niche wrestling styles like catch wrestling or Combat Wrestling.
- Fitness – I’ve been working out since I was about 14. I don’t have a bodybuilder physique—just enough strength and conditioning to enjoy the athletic things I like doing.
As for why I’m here: I recently had that moment of realizing that being in my 30s while mostly having “work friends” is a bit limiting. So I figured it’s time to meet people outside my usual circles.
I’ve always been curious about people—their lives, what they’re passionate about, what they’re working toward, and the different paths they take. I think eople are fascinating, filled with stories and experiences I likely won't experience.
So if any of this resonates with you, feel free to say hello.
How are you these days? 🙂
