What Jagex is really doing (removal of 6 month membership plan)

Jagex is purposefully making it annoying to pay your grandfathered membership rate. They want to force you to pay for "premier" as the only 12 month option, which is not grandfathered. They are billing you monthly to cause as many payments issues as possible. The goal is to make you lose your unbroken membership, or to persuade you into paying extra for... nothing (premier membership benefits were gutted last month).

They went literally as far as they could go, within the law, without outright cancelling your grandfathered rate agreement.

These are some laughably anti-consumer practices. What's next? Pay per-day if you want to keep your grandfathered rate? Removal of the 14 day payment lapse grace period? I guess by now if you could've, you would've. Good going, Jagex.
