I recently found this community, and I think you guys might be right

I thought about it, and it simply makes sense. Us straight guys, we like a range of women- of various heights, ethnicities, hair colours, body types, personalities, and so on. Seeing 1 of your friends get a crush, is actually wholesome, because they change into a completely different person. That's how much we love women. Even gay guys seem to love a range of guys (I only know 1 gay guy, but he's totally boy crazy).

Girls on the other hand, seem to compliment their friends or the female body moreso than men, the gender they're ostensibly attracted to. I mean, they'll date a guy if he's the top crème de la crème percentile of looks and height. But I'm starting to realise it's a status thing. My 1 female friend has a BF that gets loads of attention, and she's told me she likes feeling like she and only she gets to possess this 'thing that everyone else wants.' Before him it was constantly men this, men that, blah blah.
